About Us
Coach Capers is a passionate and experienced volleyball coach who has spent over a decade developing athletes into confident, competitive players on and off the court.
A former NCAA Division I middle blocker at Lafayette College, she understands firsthand the discipline and dedication it takes to compete at a high level -- and she brings that same mindset to every athlete she trains. Her coaching journey spans youth, high school, club, and collegiate volleyball. Most recently, she served as the Head Women's Volleyball Coach at Washington Adventist University, where she designed and led a comprehensive program focused on skill development, recruiting, and academic excellence.
Currently, she leads the Varsity Volleyball team at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, instilling a strong culture of commitment, accountability, and team-first mentality.
Coach Capers has also made her mark in the club volleyball world, holding head coaching roles at top programs such as The St. James Volleyball Club, Upward Stars, Keystone Juniors, and Highline. Across every stop, her players have consistently grown both in skill and confidence, with many moving on to play at the collegiate level.
Off the court, Coach Capers holds a bachelor's degree from Spelman College and earned her Master of Science in Sport Business and Executive MBA in Sport Management from Temple University. Her approach is rooted in preparation, structure, and positivity -- with a deep belief that strong fundamentals and focused training open the door to opportunity.
Above all, Coach Capers is committed to helping athletes become the best version of themselves -- as players, teammates, and people.
